Sandy Hook Official Sources
A quick article today about some of the recent statements and reports being attributed to Sandy Hook Official Sources.
Fool me once, shame on…shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on…uhhh…you can’t get fooled again!
Figure we could fill an entire page, 3000 words or so, with all the baloney that was peddled as truth in the aftermath of Sandy Hook?
Sandy Hook Official Sources
Official sources told us Nancy Lanza was a teacher at SHE. Official sources told us Peter Lanza was shot dead in New Jersey. Official sources told us four hand guns and ONLY hand guns were found in the school. Figure the press learned anything from relying on “official” sources? Apparently not.
A recent article from the NY Daily News provides another example of the lengths to which unscrupulous media organizations will go to further a particular agenda.
It’s not even as though the author is attempting to hide the fact that the quote is entirely unsubstantiated with no verifiable physical evidence provided. Nope. Not hiding it at all. It’s right underneath the banner.
Law enforcement reportedly discovers a sickeningly thorough 7-foot-long, 4-foot-wide spreadsheet with names, body counts and weapons from previous mass murders and even attempted killings. ‘It sounded like a doctoral thesis, that was the quality of the research,’ an anonymous law enforcement veteran said.
It may be instructive to once again note that the warrants for this investigation are sealed until the end of this month. I’m no legal-eagle but I would think releasing information like this just might be a crime.
I won’t take you through the NYDN article. If you want to read unsubstantiated nonsense I could give you some. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at fiction. Honestly I don’t know what bothers me more, the fact that these “officials” are so spineless that they won’t attach their name to information they feel is so vital it needs to be released regardless of the law, or police officials apparent unwillingness to root these people out and hold them accountable.
This latest article from the News is only that, the latest, in a endless series of unsubstantiated claims seemingly designed to inflame our emotions and manipulate our decision making processes.
A couple of weeks ago the facebook page being maintained for Victoria Soto by her family made such a claim.
This is why we continue to fight for gun control. This is Vicki’s sisters Carlee is staring at a photo of two little six year old hands from SHS that were blown apart by an assult weapon, she could not take her eyes away knowing this is how those precious children and her sister died. It was not an easy death they did not just die they were shot 3-11 times each. When you vote for your elected officials think of what their stance on guns is, the information is easily available and important for all of us to know. I have the picture of the little hands but won’t post it. Carlee said “that picture will be in my head forever”. I won’t do that to everyone.
I don’t mean to sound unsympathetic but would someone like to tell me how they not only got to see photos of the crime scene and bodies but apparently also got to KEEP some of them??
As a brief yet disturbing aside…I realized this week that were I to do a thorough job of investigating Sandy Hook I would need to access facebook accounts. I had an account…once…2 years ago. I had it for 6 months, didn’t like it, closed it. Actually I thought I had done more than that. I wanted it deleted, cancelled, extinguished. In short, gone.
Yesterday I decided to plug in my email address and password. The entire page popped up just as I’d left it…*shudder*.
Should you have a FB account you can view the Soto page here.
It is these types of continuing “leaks” of information to the public that has caused Lt. Paul Vance to release another statement to the press.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 18, 2013
The Connecticut State Police is not releasing further information in regards to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings at this time.
The recent seminar during which the Newtown case was discussed was designed for law enforcement professionals only. Law enforcement sensitive information was discussed dealing with tactical operational approaches employed by first responders on the day of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Officer safety and public safety along with lessons learned from the incident were discussed. Following each tragic mass murder incident in this country it is customary for law enforcement to share their lessons learned from the investigation so that other law enforcement agencies can learn.
The Connecticut State Police has not and will not speak publicly on the Sandy Hook investigation, as it is still ongoing and it is the policy of the State Police that no factual information will be distributed until the families of the victims have been informed first. The families of the victims continue to be a priority in this investigation and this fact was clearly stated at the seminar. It is unfortunate that someone in attendance chose not to honor Colonel Stebbins’ request to respect the families’ right to know specifics of the investigation first.
It is anticipated that the final Connecticut State Police report is still several months away. No additional info is available regarding this case.
Lt. J. Paul Vance
The first bolded area was a surprise to me…”no factual information will be distributed until the families of the victims have been informed first”.
To be honest, I’ve often wondered over these last 3 months if any factual information was going to be released AT ALL.
The second bolded area clearly alludes to someone sharing information they shouldn’t have. Since it seems to have happened recently and suggests it hadn’t already been released to the families, I’m going to go with the NYDN article.
Someone did it. They know it was done. They know where it was done. I’ll assume the reporter is being water-boarded as we speak.
Since it’s what brought me to writing this article today it’s only fair I go back to the NYDN article to tee up my closing.
What investigators found was a chilling spreadsheet 7 feet long and 4 feet wide that required a special printer, a document that contained Lanza’s obsessive, extensive research — in nine-point font — about mass murders of the past, and even attempted murders.
But it wasn’t just a spreadsheet. It was a score sheet.
“We were told (Lanza) had around 500 people on this sheet,” a law enforcement veteran told me Saturday night. “Names and the number of people killed and the weapons that were used, even the precise make and model of the weapons. It had to have taken years. It sounded like a doctoral thesis, that was the quality of the research.”
“This was the work of a video gamer, and that it was his intent to put his own name at the very top of that list. They believe that he picked an elementary school because he felt it was a point of least resistance, where he could rack up the greatest number of kills. That’s what (the Connecticut police) believe.”
Pretty strong stuff. I mean, it would be, if it wasn’t a pile of unsubstantiated blather. If it required a special printer we’ll be getting the name of the place/person that facilitated this printing, yes?
The work of a video gamer? Quite an avid one it would appear. We’ll be getting some verification of an online footprint that corresponds with this obsessive gaming, yes?
Just after reading that NYDN article I went back to examining some info I had dug up about some Sandy Hook teachers. I’ll get more into it in future articles but for now suffice to say I found that the only Connie Sullivan, who is a 4th grade teacher at SHE, (Constance Sullivan) listed in the CT teacher Certificate database had a license that expired in 1999.
I went looking farther and found the Linkedin account of a Connie Sullivan working as Property Leader at General Electric Headquarters…lol…I know, eh?
Next I decide to do a search for any Vollmers on Linkedin. The very first one that pops up is Vollmer Public Relations with offices in Dallas, Austin and NYC.
Is it the same family? Don’t know. just found it today. It is interesting that Scott Vollmer, Janet Vollmer’s (SHE kindergarten teacher) son worked in a PR capacity for Mayor Bloomberg.
I tell ya. Some days it’s awfully hard to keep track of the players without a scorecard.
You know what a guy really needs?
A banner. About 7 feet long and 4 feet wide.
